Dr Nestor Demosthenous is one of Scotland’s most experienced aesthetic doctors. A highly skilled and experienced cosmetic doctor with a passion for delivering natural-looking results, Dr Nestor MBChB, MSc, BSC is committed to staying at the forefront of the latest advancements in aesthetic medicine. He continuously updates his knowledge and skills through ongoing education and training, ensuring that he can offer the most innovative treatments to his patients. He is also an international speaker and published author in Aesthetic Medicine.
Dr Nestor has dedicated most of his medical career to Aesthetic Medicine and originally opened his Medical & Cosmetic Centre on Dundas Street in Edinburgh’s New Town in 2016. He’s also held clinics at London’s multi-award-winning PHI Clinic on Harley Street. He’s since expanded, rebranded and launched a new super-clinic in the southside of Edinburgh, The Mayfield Clinic by Dr Nestor.
Education
& experience
Dr Nestor obtained his Medical Degree and Honours Degree in Neuroscience from the University of Edinburgh in 2006. Upon completing his junior doctor years, he pursued a surgical career, gaining experience from several surgical specialties predominantly Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery and Plastic Surgery. Alongside this he entered Aesthetic Medicine which became his passion and ambition. Dr Nestor has been an advisory board member for Allergan’s complications group and Healthcare Improvement Scotland Phase I & II, helping to safeguard patients. He has previously been a Key Opinion Leader for Sinclair Pharma.
Dr Nestor holds an MSc in Aesthetic Medicine from Bart’s & Queen Mary University London. He is on the faculty of the Allergan Medical Institute and regularly teaches and speaks for Allergan Aesthetics nationally and internationally. He has graduated from the Allergan Medical Institute’s Global Mentorship program, under the guidance and direction of world-renowned plastic surgeon Dr Mauricio De Maio.
