Veins
Thread veins are broken blood vessels that appear close to the surface of the skin. These veins are typically red, blue, or purple and can create a web-like, wedge shape or branching pattern on the skin.
Thread veins are commonly found on the face, particularly around the nose, cheeks, and chin, as well as on the legs.
Some people may be predisposed to developing thread veins due to genetic factors. Overexposure to the sun can also be a factor. Sun exposure can enlarge the blood vessel and thin skin, which draws the vessels closer to the surface, particularly around the nose and cheeks.

Aging
Ageing skin becomes thinner and loses its elasticity, making it more susceptible to the appearance of thread veins too. Lifestyle factors such as smoking and alcohol consumption can also increase the risk of developing thread veins.
Treatment options for thread veins include laser therapy which can help reduce the appearance of thread veins and improve the overall appearance of the skin.
