Excel V+
The non-invasive excel V+ is the most powerful vascular laser in the world. It safely and effectively treats a vast range of vascular and pigmentation conditions including redness, rosacea and thread veins.
What is excel V+?
excel V+ is a state-of-the-art laser that quickly treats visible veins, discolouration and wrinkles. It uses the most advanced aesthetic laser technology and combines two powerfully precise lasers to target and eliminate unwanted reds, browns, purples and blues on the face and body. It treats more than 20 common skin concerns including rosacea, facial and leg veins, age/brown spots, and acne scars. The Mayfield Clinic by Dr Nestor is currently the only clinic in Edinburgh offering the treatment and we recommend it for all skin types. If there was one treatment that most patients can benefit from, it is the excel V+.

How does excel V+ work?
Your clinician at The Mayfield Clinic by Dr. Nestor will customise the treatment to your skin concerns. Depending on the area(s) and concerns being treated, some procedures may take up to 30 minutes. Most treatments are performed in under 20 minutes. Results are typically seen after a series of 3 treatment sessions.
Is the laser treatment painful?
excel V+ treatments can feel similar to a quick rubber band snap against skin. Depending on the procedure, a cooled treatment tip will be in contact with the skin to protect and provide additional comfort to the area.
Are there any side effects?
Typically, you can wear make-up and return to normal activities immediately. Redness and/or swelling can be expected following treatment. For full face treatments, swelling will peak 24 to 48 hours post treatment and usually resolves within a few days. We may recommend a topical steroid to reduce swelling as needed. Treated brown spots will darken following the treatment and slough off within 3 to 5 days. You must avoid sunshine for 4 weeks before and after treatment.
