Fillers
Help restore natural volume and youthful contours with fillers. The Mayfield Clinic by Dr Nestor have mastered discreetly using fillers to achieve ‘you at your best’. Quietly, perfectly enhanced – and no one need ever know your secret.
The careful placement of filler can be used to enhance cheekbones, soften harsh lines, lift sagging skin, create a firmer jawline and help maximise beauty potential by restoring natural heights.

What are fillers?
There are many different types of fillers. The most popular fillers include Hyaluronic Acid (HA), Non-HA Fillers and HArmonyCa – a hybrid filler and a game-changing addition to the injectable market. Hyaluronic Acid is a naturally occurring substance in our skin. Think of it as our body’s natural sponge. It serves to absorb water in the skin and cushion us from injury. For fillers, it’s mass produced and made into a gel for injecting. At The Mayfield Clinic, we’ll choose which filler is best to address your particular concern. *We predominantly use JUVÉDERM® Ultra & Vycross range (from Allergan, manufacturers of BOTOX(R)). These are all smooth consistency gels.

Treatment
Are Dermal Fillers Safe? The Mayfield Clinic by Dr Nestor only use products with proven safety record. Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a substance which occurs naturally in the cells of the skin, thus there is no risk of allergic reactions. The brands of dermal fillers we use are available in more than 90 countries and have been used as an injectable cosmetic treatment for more than two decades with an excellent safety record. There are risks associated with all medical procedures and these will be discussed during your consultation and then again prior to treatment should you proceed.
How long before I see results? Dermal filler treatments are instant. Allow for some potential swelling but a natural look will be achieved usually within a couple of days. Results last 6-18 months, depending on the dermal filler used and the area treated.
Is treatment painful? Generally, dermal filler procedures by skilled injectors require no anesthetic as the dermal filler contains local anesthetic. Treatment can take up to an hour depending on whether we are treating an area or an entire face.
